Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the 3,000 year old practice of inserting tiny needles into specific points in the body to promote healing. Since it works on a systemic level there are very few ailments that acupuncture can't treat. For this reason we see patients for: stress, anxiety/depression, insomnia, eczema, acne, PMS and other women's health concerns, infertility, digestive issues and inflammatory conditions, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, chronic and acute pain, migraines, tendonitis, and MORE!

Your acupuncturist will give you nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle advice and always check in at the beginning to sessions to assess your progress and make any changes.

What to expect at each session:

  • Wear loose-fitting, comfy clothing

  • You will do a check-in with the practitioner who will then feel your pulses and help you get comfortable on the table either face up or face down depending on your condition

  • Around 20-30 needles will be inserted with or without electrical stimulation and you will get to rest for about 30 min. while laying on a PEMF infrared mat which provides a gentle warmth that helps cellular detox and deep relaxation

  • You will receive body work like cupping if you need it

  • Your practitioner will go over any advice or lifestyle changes and schedule your next appointment

Acupuncture brings the body out of a fight/flight state and into a rest/digest state so many either fall asleep during the treatment or describe being in a dream-like meditative state. By allowing your nervous system to relax like this, you will respond better to external stressors in between sessions. Patients report deeper sleep, better energy levels, and a sense of calm after doing regular acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture is like exercise, consistency is key. Your practitioner will recommend a treatment plan which is important to abide by for best results. The end goal is always to help you heal and transition to a maintenance schedule or "as needed".
